Today, Climate Hawks Vote releases its report collecting Congressional reactions to repeal of the Clean Power Plan. Among other findings, we note:
— Republicans have been substantially less vocal than they were in reaction to President Obama’s 2015 announcement of the CPP;
— the reaction to the repeal announcement has been far more muted than the outcry following Trump’s June 2017 to withdraw the United States from the Paris Agreement;
— the main value of the Climate Solutions Caucus seems to be in getting Republican members of that caucus to shut up rather than actively cheer on polluters.
