Virginians are voting only on their Congressional districts, not statewide or state legislative offices. Both Elaine Luria (2018), in the Second District, and Don McEachin (2016) in Richmond/ Fourth District, have been endorsed by Climate Hawks Vote in the past.

Voting rules and registration

Early in-person voting: Early voting is available September 23-Nov 7, the day before the election.  Click here for more information on voting early or by mail.

Same Day voter Registration: In Virginia, you can register or update your registration anytime before Nov 8 online or at a local elections office. You can also register and vote on Election Day – but you may need to vote a provisional ballot. Find out what you’ll need to bring with you.

Pro-democracy is defined inclusively as a candidate who supports voting rights, access to voting, opposes gerrymandering, or even just has voter registration tools on their website.
