Senate Vote on Green New Deal: Bring It On

Today, Senate Majority Leader Mitch Mcconnell indicated he will bring the Green New Deal resolution, which was unveiled last week, to a vote in the Senate. Recent polling finds that an overwhelming majority of Americans — both Democrats and Republicans — agree with the basic components of the Green New Deal and the need to move to renewables and away from fossil fuels.

“The Green New Deal is a unifying message that returns the Democratic Party to our people-first agenda of building an economy that works for all and protects our planet. Accordingly, Democrats must adopt a unified strategy focused on developing this non-binding resolution in a way that works for all of their constituents. The American people are hungry for real solutions to the climate crisis,” says RL Miller, cofounder of Climate Hawks  Vote.

Miller adds: “To Mitch McConnell, I say bring it.”
