Will Lawrence began political life as one of the original founders of the Sunrise Movement. After leaving Sunrise, he organized around tenants’ rights issues, including cofounding the Michigan Rent Is Too Damn High Coalition.
Will’s endorsements include Senator Bernie Sanders, Rep. Rashida Tlaib, the Sunrise Movement (of course), National Nurses United, Working Families Party, and the local Indivisible chapter. Equally important, when we surveyed grassroots climate hawks in the district, Will was the unanimous choice.
Will faces two centrist democrats, one of whom campaigned with ExxonMobil Executives in the August primary. And Michigan’s Seventh District is one of the few pure toss-up districts in the country.
