In her first term facing far-right Governor Paul LePage, she stood up to him. In her second term, with a friendlier governor, she pushed through even more progressive policies. Sara recently picked up the endorsement of the Bangor Daily New, and she was chosen by a large margin of Maine climate hawks.
Susan Collins has long been popular in Maine, but recent polls show a very close race. Control of the Senate hinges on Maine with Sara’s primary coming up on July 14. Sara has climate hawk credentials. She’s served on the statehouse Energy, Utilities, and Technology Committee, and in 2016 she brought Maine solar energy policy into the 21st century. Sara is the climate hawk we need in Maine--and for the rest of the country, too. Susan Collins must go. Sara Gideon deserves your support.
