Becca Balint???? Spotlight Race: Becca Balint for Congress

Becca Balint is running for Vermont’s only Congressional seat. Climate hawks vote was proud to endorse her for the August 9 Democratic primary election, which she won.

And now we’re doubly proud to endorse her in the Nov 8 general election!

This is a very busy election for Vermont climate hawks! We get to elect a new US Senator and US House representative, plus there are a lot of open seats in the legislature and for other statewide offices (look for the races with an “o” in the list below).

There are a lot of great climate hawks running up and down the ballot, but a number of candidates dont have websites or active social media pages where they talk to constituents. We rely on local partners like VPIRG Votes (and our locally-based digital director, aka Greenmtndrew) to chase down candidates and their positions. Pay attention to those “other” statewide elected officials including Treasurer, Attorney General, and Lt Governor. The races and candidates may get less attention, but are no less important!

Voting rules and how to vote:

Starting September 26, 2022, the November 8 General Election ballots are being mailed to all active Vermont voters. If you do not receive your ballot by October 10th, please contact your Town or City Clerk.

Same Day voter Registration: In Vermont, you can register or update your registration at your polling place on Election Day. Find out what you’ll need to bring with you.

More voting rules and regulations are available from the Secretary of state’s office – remember your polling place or district may have changed this year!
