Here’s how to decode Alaskan politicians’ campaign positions on oil drilling: “don’t drill in sensitive habitat” = drill. “Consult Tribes before drilling” – drill. We’re noting the few Alaska leaders willing to speak out against more drilling. Although signature verification in remote areas is impractical in a vote-by-mail state, few leaders are speaking out in favor of voting reforms.

Voting rules and how to vote:

In-person absentee voting – more commonly referred to as “early voting” in Oklahoma – is available to all voters. No excuse is needed. But Vote by mail closed on October 24. You can vote early, in person, in your county at your designated early voting location from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday Nov 3 and Friday Nov 4. You must vote in the county where you are registered. Click here to learn more about voting early or by mail. Voter registration for the general election closed on October 14.

More voting rules and regulations are available from the OK State Elections Board – remember your polling place or district may have changed this year!
