New Jersey

Spotlight Race: Andy Kim for Senate

We’re endorsing Andy Kim for his integrity and political courage, for taking on “the line” of New Jersey’s corrupt politics and winning, and for his record on climate change and clean energy.

“Gold Bar Bob” Menendez is in serious legal trouble, and has lost the trust of NJ voters. Andy Kim has been a member of Congress 2019, when he flipped a seat held by a Republican. He’s perhaps best known for a photo: sweeping up the floor after the January 6 insurrection. He’s signed the No Fossil Fuel Money pledge. And he’s shown some real political courage in tackling the New Jersey political machine, both in fighting at the county convention level, and in a lawsuit.

Spotlight Race: Sue Altman for Congress

Sue Altman

Sue Altman directed the Working Families Party of New Jersey before running for Congress. She stood up to Chris Christie when he tried to cut public education funding. She’s spoken out against the New Jersey “corruption tax,” where too many politicians from both parties used the party machine to benefit their cronies. She doesn’t take corporate PAC money and of course she’s signed the No Fossil Fuel Money pledge. She supports a Green New Deal. New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District is a must-win. And now Sue is in it to win it.
